Univision will again televise the World Cup after securing the Spanish-language rights to the 2002 and 2006 World Cups. As part of the agreement with FIFA, Univision also has exclusive Spanish-language rights to the 2003 Women’s World Cup, the 2001, 2003, and 2005 Confederations Cup and the U-20 and U-17 World Cups for the same years. All 64 matches at the 2002 World Cup will be televised live on Univision or on Galavision, Univision’s Spanish-language cable network. Univision first televised the World Cup in 1978.
