U.S. ABROAD (Feb. 18): Hahnemann's Reading moves into third place

ENGLAND

* Marcus Hahnemann (Reading, D1), vs. Sheffield United, 3-1.

Started: 90 minutes. Royals moved into third place, three points ahead of Sheffield United. They have little chance of catching the top two –Portsmouth and Leicester — but have a nine-point edge on seventh-place Norwich. The top two go up automatically; teams 3-6 play off for third promotion spot.

NETHERLANDS

* John O'Brien (Ajax, Champions League), at Arsenal, 1-1.

DNP. O'Brien has resumed training.
