American goalkeeper Brad Friedel scored a 90th minute goal for Blackburn to tie Charlton 2-2 — then was beaten on a stoppage-time volley as his team lost, 3-2, on Saturday.

With his team trailing 2-1, Friedel left his goal to join a Blackburn corner kick. When Charlton failed to clear the corner kick, Friedel shot the ball into the net with his left foot from seven yards out.

But Charlton, which had squandered a 2-0 lead, clinched a win thanks to a fierce volley by substitute Claus Jensen past Friedel.

Clint Mathis scored his third goal in for games during Hannover's 3-1 loss to Hansa Rostock.
