ENGLAND

* Brian McBride (Everton, PL) vs. Sunderland, 2-1.
Started: 90 minutes.

McBride, who last week scored 10 minutes into his English Premier League debut, followed up in the second game of his three-month loan spell with two goals in six minutes.

McBride equalized the game in the 51st minute when his bicycle kick, from a Scott Gemmill cross, deflected off a defender and beat keeper Thomas Sorensen. He scored his second after running onto to Tomasz Radzinski's pass and shooting low into the corner. Everton is in 5th place.

* Claudio Reyna (Sunderland, PL) at Everton, 1-2.
Reyna is recovering from knee surgery and is out until next spring. Sunderland is in 18th place.

* Kasey Keller (Tottenham, PL) at Aston Villa, 1-0.
Started: 90 minutes.

In what the Guardian called ''among the worst matches in the Premiership this season,'' Tottenham stayed in the run for a Europe spot thanks to Terry Sheringham's 69th minute goal. Keller's save on a Ulises de la Cruz's 15-yard effort with 5 minutes left preserved the tie. Tottenham is in 7th place.

* Jovan Kirovski (Birmingham, PL) at Blackbiurn, 1-1.
Entered as sub in 65th minute.

After his impressive run over the holidays, when he won a starting spot and scored his first two Premier League goals, Kirovski has been relegated to the bench to make way for French international Christophe Dugarry. But once Kirosvki entered the game against Blackburn, he was denied a goal on a brilliant Brad Friedel save.

Former Columbus Crew striker Stern John scored Birmingham's late equalizer.

* Brad Friedel (Blackburn, PL) vs. Birmingham, 1-1

Friedel had a fairly quiet afternoon, but denied compatriot Jovan Kirosvki a goal with an excellent save after Kirovski launched a hard shot on the turn. In the 83rd minute, Friedel was stuck to his line as former Columbus Crew forward Stern John beat him for the equalizer. Blackburn is ninth place.
