American goalkeeper Jonny Walker had a relatively uneventful night in goal during the first leg of the Chilean league final as his club, Colo Colo, failed to exploit its home-field advantage and settled for a 0-0 tie with Cobreloa.

Walker's primary duty was handling crosses and corner kicks, although he did make saves on Jaime Gonzalez in the 48th minute and Jonathan Cisternas in the 78th.

The second leg will be played Sunday at Cobreloa's stadium in Calama, in northern Chile. The winner of that game will be the Apertura champion. If the score is tied after 90 minutes, two 15-minute, sudden-death overtime periods will be played. If no goal is scored in those 30 minutes, penalty kicks will determine the winner.

Walker is still in contact with the MetroStars about potentially replacing Tim Howard, should the incumbent goalkeeper leave for Manchester United as expected.
