For the second season in a row, goalkeeper Jonny Walker advanced to the final of the Chilean League playoffs only to be virtually deserted by his team.

Walker faced a barrage of shots and three of his Colo Colo teammates were red carded before Cobreloa completed a 4-0 victory in the decisive second leg of the finals. Colo Colo hosted the first leg, a scoreless draw, on Thursday.

Cobreloa opened its account in the 28th minute when Luis Fuentes headed in a free kick from Fernando Martel. Walker was caught trying to rescue his defense from a woeful clearance in the 66th minute when his punch went to Jose Luiz Diaz, who volleyed it over his shoulder for a 2-0 lead.

After Patricio Galaz dribbled in alone on Walker and added a third goal in the 70th minute, Colo Colo striker Ivan Zamorano was ejected for excessive dissent. Zamorano, who may retire this offseason, faces a possible suspension of four to 10 games for allegedly kicking referee Carlos Chandia in the knee. Two more of Walker's teammates earned early showers before Martel closed the scoring in the 88th minute.

Cobreloa had the best regular season record, finishing five points ahead of Audax Italiano, its closest rival in the standings. Cobreloa's goalkeeper, Nelson Tapia, was the man Walker displaced as the starter with Universidad Catolica in 2001. Cobreloa's coach, Nelson Acosta, leaves the club to take over Bolivia's national team.
