U.S. keeper Kasey Keller will reportedly arrive in Istanbul today to sign a contract with First Division club Besiktas. Keller has been looking for a club since his contract with Spanish club Rayo Vallecano expired last June. Besitkas is coached by Christoph Daum, who left Bayer Leverkusen and the German national team last year in the wake of a drug scandal. Besiktas has been looking for a goalkeeper since it and Nigerian international Ikke Shorunmu clashed last spring over his commitments with the national team. Keller would be the second U.S. keeper to play for a Turkish club. Brad Friedel played for Galatasaray during the 1995-96 season.
