U.S. striker Joe-Max Moore's work permit in England expired Dec. 1. He asked the Premier League club not to apply to the Department of Overseas Labour for its renewal.
Moore is therefore unable to play for Everton — first team or reserves — even though his contract extends through the end of the 2002-03 season.
Moore hasn't play for the first team since Manager David Moyes' first game at Everton last March.
He hopes to find a new club when the European transfer market reopens in January.
