Ante Razov scored a hat trick in 28 minutes to lead Racing Ferrol to a 5-0 away win over Compostela in the Spanish Second Division. The former Chicago Fire forward continued his outstanding play since arriving in December with goals in the 58th minute (on a penalty), 69th and 86th to seal the win before 3,787 fans. Even more important, the win jumps Ferrol ahead of Compostela into 17th place, two spots out of the relegation zone — the first Ferrol has been out of the drop zone since Razov arrrived. It was a bad day, though, for Kasey Keller as the Rayo Vallecano keeper conceded six goals to Real Zaragoza in a 6-1 loss in the First Division. In France, David Regis was again in the starting lineup for struggling Metz, which also fell 6-1, to Monaco.
