Kasey Keller suffered a minor head injury in his game with Rayo Vallecano while Claudio Reyna returned to action for Rangers for the first time since pulling a groin muscle against Mexico Feb. 28. Reyna played 90 minutes against visiting Dundee United, which handed Rangers an embarassing 2-0 defeat. United sits just above the bottom of the Scottish Premier League standings, yet it eliminated Rangers from cup play three weeks before earning this result at Ibrox. Returning to the starting lineup after international duty, Keller was forced to leave a 3-1 win against Valladolid in the 75th minute after taking a blow to the head. The team’s website reported that Keller’s vision was affected after the hit and that he was taken to a hospital for observation. Madrid paper La Marca reported that Keller was released the following morning having fully recovered. Fernando Baro, head trainer for Valladolid, said that Keller did not lose consciousness at the time of the collision but was held overnight as a precaution.
