(The Chesapeake Dragons' protest over their 1-0 loss to the Bridgeport Italians in the first round was upheld because of Bridgeport's use of an ineligible player, Trinidad & Tobago international Darrin Lewis. It was decided, because of the late date of the appeal, that Chesapeake meet the winner of the second-round game between the New Hampshire Phantoms and Bridgeport.)
