Californian Guillermo Gonzalez and Jacob Peterson of Michigan scored four and five goals, respectively, for the U.S. U-17 national team at the second annual U.S. Soccer/Nike Friendlies in Bradenton, Fla.

Facing some of the top U.S. youth clubs, Coach John Ellinger split his squad into two teams — one with mainly players born in 1986 and another comprised primarily of players born in 1987.

Overall, the U-17s finished with a 6-0-1 record — the tie coming in the older team's 3-3 stalemate against the Colorado Rush, in which the national team equalized late in the game on a Gonzalez free kick.

Gonzalez had a penalty kick goal and an assist in Monday's 2-0 win over Sockers FC — a game that was called off in the 61st minute because of weather conditions.

The U-17 roster's youngest player, 13-year-old Freddy Adu, scored three goals in three games.
