The United States got a pair of first-half goals from Brian McBride and cruised to a 4-0 victory over Honduras Wednesday night in its final pre-World Cup qualifying tune-up.

McBride passed Joe-Max Moore for second on the U.S. all-time scoring list with the 24th and 25th goals of his career.

U.S. captain Claudio Reyna became the seventh U.S. player to record his 100th career cap.

McBride opened the scoring with a header off a cross by Steve Cherundolo in the 22nd minute. Cherundolo's former Hannover teammates, Conor Casey, set up McBride for the second goal in the 37th minute.

Three minutes later, Honduran captain Amado Guevara was red carded for taking a swing at DaMarcus Beasley.

Eddie Lewis and Tony Sanneh closed out the scoring for the Americans.

Tim Howard picked up the shutout for the United States in his first appearance since leaving MLS for Manchester United last summer. It was the third straight shutout for the United States, following wins over Poland (1-0) and Mexico (1-0).

Honduras is now winless in nine games under Coach Bora Milutinovic.
