The U.S. national team will play its final World Cup qualifying match against El Salvador at Foxboro Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., U.S. Soccer officials announced today. The game will kick off at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, Nov. 16. The U.S. has never lost a game at Foxboro Stadium, compiling a 3-0-2 record that includes a 2-0 upset over England in 1993 and a 3-2 win over Nigeria in 1995. “Whenever we set foot inside Foxboro, we play with extreme confidence,” said U.S. coach Steve Sampson. “It will be difficult to match the atmosphere that we experienced last weekend in Portland, but we will look forward to coming back to what is also a very patriotic crowd in Boston. I’m encouraging everyone to wear white again as the Portland fans did last weekend.” Tickets, which range from $20-$70, will go on sale this Saturday (Sept. 13) and can be purchased by calling the New England Revolution ticket office at (508) 384-9164 or Ticketmaster at (617) 931-2222. Group rates are available. The stadium is expected to seat 57,000 fans.
