Penn State midfielder Joanna Lohman, 18, replaces midfielder Aly Wagner, 20, on the roster for the upcoming U.S. under-21 national team training camp. The Feb. 18-25 camp will be held at the ARCO Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Wagner, who will be a junior at Santa Clara next fall, pulled out due to a lingering hamstring injury and a recent minor knee injury. Lohman, who was the 2000 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, has played for the U.S. U-18 national team. She will be a sophomore in Happy Valley next fall. U.S. coach April Heinrichs and U.S. U-21 coach Jillian Ellis will use the camp to pick the majority of the team that will compete in a friendly in Italy on March 7 and in this spring’s Algarve Cup.
