U.S. Women: Heinrichs adds Raygor, Borgman for Japan match

U.S. women’s national team coach April Heinrichs added a pair of North Carolina defenders — former Tar Heel star Keri Raygor and current Tar Heel star Danielle Borgman — to her roster for the United States’ Dec. 17 friendly against Japan. The match, to be played in Phoenix, is the last stop on the world champions’ Glory Tour. Raygor, who played in Chapel Hill, N.C., as Keri Sanchez, was recently drafted by the Boston Breakers of the WUSA. Borgman, who won the Women’s College Cup with UNC on Dec. 3, was a second-half substitute in the 3-2 U.S. win over Mexico on Dec. 10.
