The U.S. continues to lead Tunisia 1-0 at the break. The Americans have had the better of play in a relatively uneventful first half — they concentrated on going down the Tunisian wing, with occasional success. Miles Joseph, who replaced A.J. Wood in the lineup for the U.S., is playing well — his fine run through four defenders drew the foul that led to Jovan Kirovski’s tremendous free-kick goal. U.S. playmaker Claudio Reyna has been frustrated by the tight marking of Tunisian defender Khaled Badra.

Legion Field has drained well, and play has not been affected by the heavy rains that drenched Birmingham before the match.
