o There are 38 teams that will play a full schedule in this year’s D3 Pro League. Each will play two games apiece (home and away) against the other teams in its division. Additional games will be against division or non-division opponents, and in some cases, against teams in other leagues within the USISL. Eighteen games will be designated as “league” games, with a minimum of four other “non-league” games (which may be substituted for league games that are not completed due to weather, travel or other difficulties).
o Tallahassee is an expansion team that will play a limited schedule and will not be eligible for the 1997 championship. The status of the Dublin Xoggz has yet to be determined, but for now it is playing only one match (Aug. 2 against South Carolina). Some of Dublin’s previously scheduled games will be played by the Twin Cities Tornado, a reserve team of the Minnesota Thunder. Twin Cities has been added to the South Central Division of the Premier League.
o The 1997 D3 Pro League champion will be eligible to be promoted to the A-League for the 1998 season, provided it meets certain USSF and USISL criteria for Division II teams.
Key: If a team has an asterisk, it means that game is counted as a “non-league” game.
