USYSA: Thompsett resigns as executive director

Ray Thompsett announced his resignation as executive director of the United States Youth Soccer Asociation March 17.

Thompsett, who was one of the leaders in getting youth soccer of the ground in Florida in the late ’60s, served as a USYSA regional director before joining the USYSA’s national office in 1990 as director of operations. He was promoted to executive director in 1994.
