Patrick Vieira looks to be on his way to Inter Milan, but not before the former Arsenal man fanned the flames of speculation by revealing that interest from Manchester United flattered him. “Every player wants to appear for a club like Manchester United at the highest level,” Vieira was quoted as saying in several reports. However, the most recent, from ESPN Soccernet, says the 30-year old midfielder arrived in Milan earlier today to complete a medical and sign a reported four-year deal with Inter Milan, last season’s recently crowned champions. While Inter owner Massimo Moratti couldn’t say definitively that Vieira had become one of Inter’s, he did say, “Let’s just say it is his last day for the Bianconeri.” Moratti said he expects the World Cup star to complete the transfer tomorrow. Meanwhile, Juventus, Vieira’s soon-to-be former employer, announced that the France midfielder would be the club’s final departure of the offseason. The Bianconeri have seen five of its players depart since the club was relegated to Serie B and stripped of its Scudetto title three weeks ago. An undeterred Moratti said he’s still confident of adding Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well as Fiorentina’s Luc Toni. Vieira said he couldn’t stay with Juve: “I’m not sure where I’m playing next season, I’m still looking for a new club,” he said, adding that he expects to have his future sorted out in the next 48 hours.”
