Losers

ROMA. The Italian club's Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev last Tuesday, abandoned at halftime after referee Anders Frisk received a bloody head gash after being hit by an object thrown from the Roma stands, has been ruled a 3-0 win for Kiev, which was leading 1-0 at the time. Moreover, Roma will have to play its next two European games behind closed doors (Bayer Leverkusen Nov. 3 and Real Madrid on Dec. 8.)

ROY KEANE. The 33-year-old Manchester United captain has been charged with public order offense, criminal damage and assault in connection with a Sept. 4 confrontation with a 16-year-old boy near Keane's home in Manchester suburb of Hale.

CRUZ AZUL. On paper, the ''Cement Makers,'' which include Argentine 2004 gold medalists Cesar Delgado and Luciano Figueroa, have one of the strongest squads in the Mexican First Division, but through six games they've notched a tie and five losses. ''I'm sorry for Cruz Azul's thousands of followers, but we're going to battle on,'' says coach Luis Fernando Tena, still in charge for now.
