Norway’s Ann Kristin Aarones scored in the 21st and 24th minutes to give Norway a 2-0 lead over Brazil in the bronze-medal match.

In the 21st minute, Norway’s Hege Riise played a fine through ball from 40 yards out to Linda Medalen at the top of the box. Medalen dribbled around the keeper to the right of the six-yard box, and crossed to the trailing Aarones, who knocked the ball in for the first goal.

Aarones scored again in the 24th minute when she lobbed the Brazilian keeper, Meg, from 25 yards.
