WORLD CUP: Grenada wins CONCACAF series to set up date with U.S.

The United States will meet Grenada in the second round of World Cup qualifying in the CONCACAF zone.

Grenada wrapped up its first-round World Cup qualifying series with Guyana with a 3-1 victory Sunday before 2,000 fans in Berbice to take the two-game series, 8-1, on aggregate.

USC-Spartanburg star Ricky Charles, Jason Roberts of England's Wigan Athletic and Tyron Bubb scored for Grenada, which meets the United States in the second round of CONCACAF qualifying this summer.

Roberts was one of eight professionals called in from abroad for the second leg.
