THE ROAD TO GERMANY 2006: The winner of the USA-Grenada series advances to the semifinal qualifying round with the winners of: El Salvador-Bermuda (2-1, aggregate), Haiti-Jamaica (1-1) and Panama-St. Lucia (4-0).

The top two finishers in the semifinal round group of four (Aug. 18-Nov. 17) advance to the six-team final round (Feb 9-Oct. 12, 2005), from which the top three finishers qualify for the World Cup and the fourth-place finisher will play off with Asia's fifth-place team.

FIRST LEG: The USA won the first-leg game against Grenada last Sunday, 3-0, on two goals by DaMarcus Beasley and one goal by Greg Vanney.

TIEBREAKER: The series will be decided by total goals. If Grenada beats the USA by three goals, evening the aggregate score, the first tiebreaker is away goals, of which Grenada has none. If the USA scores, Grenada would have to win by four goals. If Grenada has a 3-0 lead at the end of regulation time, a 30-minute golden goal (sudden death) overtime will follow.
