Red Cards
The following players were red-carded in the first game of the first round: Nankov (Bulgaria), Ha Seok Ju (South Korea), Kluivert (Netherlands). Each will sit out their team’s next game. In addition, Kluivert will miss the Netherlands’ third first-round match as FIFA handed him a two-match suspension for elbowing Belgium’s Lorenzo Staelens.
