Shannon Boxx scored two goals but the Atlanta Beat rallied with a last-minute penalty kick to tie the New York Power, 2-2, Friday night in the first game of the WUSA Soccer Festival in Blaine, Minn.

Boxx scored in the 74th minute, after ''guest'' Mandy Clemens, from the San Jose CyberRays, dropped a Krista Davey cross onto her path, then converted an 80th-minute penalty kick as the Power overcame a 1-0 deficit.

Maribel Dominguez fired Atlanta ahead one minute before Boxx's goal, blasting home Charmaine Hooper's feed. Hooper scored the late penalty after Ifeoma Dieke earned the spot kick.

Atlanta goalkeeper Briana Scurry did not play because of a thumb injury sustained in the U.S.-Japan friendly on June 6. Philadelphia Charge stars Kelly Smith and Marinette Pichon were added to New York's roster and also will play Saturday for the Boston Breakers against the Washington Freedom in the second festival game.

The game drew 2,011 fans to the National Sports Center.

The second WUSA Festival will be played June 27 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The San Diego Spirit will meet the Carolina Courage and San Jose will face Philadelphia in Southern California.
