Dorrance, Akers join Atlanta’s announcing team
North Carolina coach Anson Dorrance has a busy offseason ahead of him. The former U.S. national team coach will do color commentary for the Atlanta Beat in addition to his color commentary for the Carolina Courage. Dorrance will call the Beat’s nine-game package on Fox Sports Net, including this Saturday’s home match against the Philadelphia Charge at 7:30 pm ET. Retired U.S. star Michelle Akers will handle sideline reporting for the Beat. Beth Mowins, who worked the Women’s College Cup last December for the ESPN networks, will do play by play.
