The Carolina Courage has waived seven players, reducing its preseason roster to 22 players and making itself eligible for the Tuesday waiver draft. The seven players released are Kelly Berrall, Tracy Grose, Asta Helgadottir, Megan Jeidy, Jessica Post, Staci Reynolds and Erica Westrich. All waived players will be entered into a waiver draft, to be held on Tuesday, March 20, at 10:00 am. To be eligible to claim players off waivers, each WUSA team must be carrying a roster of less than 24 players. The draft will consist of four rounds, and the drafting order will flip-flop with each round. The Courage will travel to San Diego on Wednesday to take part in the inaugural WUSA preseason tournament/league training camp. The Courage returns to the Triangle on April 5 and will host an exhibition game against the New York Power on Saturday, April 7, at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill.
