Jaclyn Raveia scored a goal and cleared two shots heading for the net and fellow defender Cheryl Salisbury netted her first WUSA goal as New York vaulted to fourth place with a 2-1 victory Saturday over visiting San Jose.

San Diego missed a chance to grab the top spot, losing its advantage with Stacey Tullock's stoppage-time goal in a 1-1 tie at Philadelphia.

Saturday's highlights:

New York 2 San Jose 1: Raveia and Salisbury finished Justi Baumgardt corner kicks three minutes apart and the Power (6-7-2, 20 points) pulled within two points of the WUSA lead.

Raveia volleyed home the first goal in the 57th minute and Salisbury's header made it 2-0 in the 60th.

Tisha Venturini-Hoch scored for the CyberRays (5-7-3, 17 points) in the 86th.

Raveia cleared balls after Mandy Clemens in the 71st minute and Keri Sanchez in the 73rd beat goalkeeper Saskia Webber. Clemens hit the right post in the 78th.

The second-smallest WUSA crowd of the year, just 3,057, were on hand for the match at Mitchel Athletic Field in Uniondale, N.Y. The smallest attendance, 2,369, also was at Mitchel, June 11 vs. Philadelphia. Four of seven sub-4,000 crowds this season have been for Power home games.

Philadelphia 1 San Diego 1: Tullock's 92nd-minute goal earned a point for the last-place Charge (3-6-4, 13 points) before 8,602 at Villanova Stadium.

Christine Latham, who scored twice in the Spirit's tie Wednesday at San Jose, gave San Diego (5-3-6, 21 points) an 80th-minute lead from an Allie Sullivan cross that was redirected by Joy Fawcett.

Tullock scored from a long ball from rookie Trina Maso de Moya shortly after star Philly forward Marinette Pichon was carted off the field with a back injury.

The Spirit is one point behind Atlanta and Boston. The Beat has a game in hand over San Diego and the Breakers.
