Josmer Altidore of Boca Raton, Fla., scored three goals in four games as the U.S. U-17 (89/90) boys national team captured the 6th Toyota International Championship in Japan. The Americans beat Japan, 2-1, in the Aug. 14 final on goals by Altidore and Edgar Barajas. They also beat Gifu High School Select on PKs after a 1-1 tie and Nagoya Grampus, 2-1, and tied South Korea, 0-0. Also scoring for the USA was Mykell Bates.
