The U.S. under-20 womenÆs national team is in Brazil April 13-24 to play five matches, including two against the Canadian U-20s and two against the Brazilian U-20s, as it continues its preparations for Russia Æ06 Aug. 17ûSept. 3.

Coach Tim Schulz will bring 17 players to Brazil. All but two players — defender Ariel Harris and 17-year-old midfielder Tobin Heath — were members of the U.S. team that qualified in Mexico for the world championship in late January.

Due to school commitments, Schulz will be without two of his top players, both veterans of the USAÆs U-19 team that finished third in the 2004 FIFA U-19 WomenÆs World Championship. Portland defender Stephanie Lopez has three caps with the full national team and USC forward Amy Rodriguez has five caps.
