[REF WATCH] Referees in Bulgaria can expect less job security this season after the federation’s referee chief announced refs will be ousted for "serious" errors.
"We will not compromise this year," Bulgarian referee commission chairman Borislav Alexandrov said. "There’ll be no one-match or several-matches ban for referees from now on. They’ll be taken off from the list for every single serious mistake."
Three refs have already been dismissed — Angel Bekyarov and Stoyan Alexiev for failing preseason fitness tests and Valeri Petrovski for mistakes he made during a second division match last spring.
